I then re-enabled my 'Use cached exchange mode' GP setting and created another test account, logged in and opened Outlook first and sure enough my duplicate Junk E-mail (built-in) & Junk E-Mail (able to delete) folders were there. In OWA after first going in through Outlook i see the duplicate folders as if i'd created them manually (well when the second Junk E-Mail folder is created via cached mode). I created a third test account and logged on to OWA first before opening Outlook on the client side and only one folder - 'Junk E-Mail' as the built-in, was created (just like in cached mode logging in to OWA first). I created 2 test accounts just to confirm this behaviour and on both accounts it was the same.

G'day Allen, In online mode (i didn't configure manually just disabled the 'Use Cached Exchange Mode for new and existing Outlook profiles' GP setting and confirmed in Oultook that 'Use cached exchange mode was unchecked) i get the 'Junk E-mail' folder as the built-in and no second Junk E-Mail folder. So in summary: - New user created, logs on to domain and opens up Outlook 2007 - gets 2x junk e-mail folders - New user created, i open up OWA as if i were the user i just get 1x folder, user subsequently logs on to domain still only gets the 1x folder Could someone please advise if they are experiencing the same issue? In exchange 2003/office 2007 the default spelling seems to be 'Junk E-mail' (as from OWA) whilst in exchange 2007/outlook 2007 it seems to want the default to be 'Junk E-Mail' and this is causing the duplication. If the same user then logs on to the domain they too only see one 'Junk E-Mail' folder as opposed to 2.

IF before the user logs on to the domain on the exchange server i open the new users OWA session i only see 'Junk E-Mail'. Exact same folder name just a capital M on one and lowercase m on the other. that log on the domain for the first time (XP SP3/Office 2007 Clients) and open Outlook 2007 are getting 2 'Junk E-mail' folders - the default built-in 'Junk E-mail' folder, and a second 'Junk E-Mail' folder (capital M). New users in an OU where there is no group policy/logon script etc. Hello, Exchange Server 2007 SP2 running on Server 2008 圆4 in a 2008 圆4 domain.
